V&A Jewellery: Lozenge range - based on a French rhomboid-shaped platinum brooch, with an ornate chequerboard edge, made by Cartier circa 1912.  Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 and is still a very successful international business.  This spectacular pendant necklace is gold-plated, with Swarovski crystals and black enamel.                 

This piece is inspired from an object in The Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
